Where does Ladino come from, and who speaks it? What are the major differences between Ladino and Sapanish? What makes it a Jewish language? Is it a language, or is it a dialect of Spanish? Is there a literature in Ladino? What is the state of the language today? I wil discuss these and many other questions that have arisen in the long years of my involvement in the promotion, teaching, and preservation of my native language.
