Rabbi Fred Scherlinder Dobb, with Adat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation in Bethesda MD since 1997, is also Rabbinic Consultant for the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life. A long-time teacher and activist in the Jewish and multi-faith green arena, Fred’s focus is on applying Jewish values (particularly those raised up in the spiritual-ethical approach of Mussar) to today’s eco-challenges. He is a Wexner Graduate Fellow; Doctor of MInistry (from Wesley Theological Seminary); Past President of the Washington Board of Rabbis; Board member of Interfaith Power and Light; frequent contributor to Moment Magazine; and above all a husband and Abba.
